Plugin access!

Summary

I now have developer access to create/test ChatGPT plugins. 🚀 Early testing is promising, and I will release a live version of the plugin this week.

Progress since last update

After creating the necessary plugin files, I’ve been testing the API locally. Key takeaways:

• Requests are a bit slow in dev mode (should be faster in prod)
• Some new batch operation endpoints could help speed things up
• ChatGPT will sometimes get confused / hallucinate when an expected endpoint does not exist
• The local dev process works but is a bit rough - I imagine OpenAI are working on improving this

And…it works! The core premise is there, it’s exciting, and you can imagine what it would be like with a bit more speed and other plugins. E.g.

• Create a new project for X
• Populate it with Tasks, each with descriptions and bullet point steps
• Assign the first task to Charles and notify him on Slack
• Show me the tasks in progress and order by how long people have been working on them

Etc etc.
