Progress

Here’s your update on CIP-129

In short;

Work on this CIP is proceeding on schedule with no major roadblocks. Building the foundations of the MVP is coming along well and will be the continued top-priority until it is live. We rebranded the venture from the ETHDenver hackathon name of GovBlocks to NodeBlocks and we launched an updated website to reflect this. We also continued to have productive discussions with strong communities in the market about this project.

Top 5 Highlights since last update:

1. Creation of the Development Roadmap for the rest of this 2023 year: see here

2. Continued progress with the smart-contract preparation, design and development.

3. Complete re-branding of the venture. New name: NodeBlocks. New Website: https://www.nodeblocks.io/

4. Continued discussions with the market for continued feedback and preparation of an initial Alpha Tester list for when NodeBlocks launches. Included in this was a Twitter Space discussion where over 2,000 people have tuned in to date and the signing of 13 MOUs by leaders from supportive communities.

5. We received all funds pertaining to the first 3 Milestones and had an early discussion with some multi-sig signers regarding the 4th Milestone funding process that will come up later this year, likely to be re-visited around end of Q3.

Top 2 Priorities between now and next update

1. Continue smart-contract research, preparation and development for implementation with the NodeBlocks MVP.

2. Continue discussions with the market for early feedback on the MVP when it goes live and for early alpha testers Google Docs NodeBlocks Roadmap.png NodeBlocks NodeBlocks - Where communities build. NodeBlocks is a modular platform for online communities and decentralized autonomous organizations(DAOs) to do enterprise resource planning, improve teamwork and get more done, all in one place. Risks (same as last update) We need to keep momentum going. DAO governance is a hot topic and competitor creep is real. We need to keep the advantage of speed on our side. Simultaneously, we can’t rush anything because there’s a lot of nuances to a HT collection and settings that need to be provided to communities that could have significant financial effects if not done right. We need to move fast, but not rushed. We need to strike the balance between both extremes.
