Emojis are here! ππ₯ππ₯³
Hey everyone π,
This week saw the release of project emojis, project phases, and clearer project statuses. Read on to find out more.
Project emojis
To make it easier to distinguish between projects (and honestly just because itβs fun), you can now add a custom emoji to each project. This project emoji will show up wherever you see the project title:
Existing and new projects have the rocket π icon by default, so be sure to login and change your icons to whatever is best for you by navigating to project -> settings.
Improved timeline
The workspace timeline has been updated to include the new project emojis and to show project statuses (on track, at risk, or not on track). This should make is easier to understand at a glance how all the projects are going. π
Project phases
An old feature has made a comeback! You can set the project phase to show how far along a project is. The options are:
- Think - the problem/goals/constraints are not yet agreed
- Explore - deciding best approach
- Build and iterate - executing on agreed solution
You can see the current phase in the project overview sidebar:
Phases are particularly useful for others to know how well defined a project is, and what kind of feedback to offer. E.g. If a project is in the Think phase, stakeholders can give feedback on the direction and goals, whereas for a project in the Build and iterate phase, advice on execution will be more appropriate.
Thatβs all for this week. Enjoy the weekend. π
