Hidoki becomes Macro

Summary

Hidoki is being renamed to Macro. There will be extended downtime tomorrow (Thurs 11th November) to update the site and move to our new home at macroapp.io.

Why change the name?

People like ‘Hidoki’ but it doesn’t say much about what the product does. It can also be difficult for people to spell and remember. Macro is simple, and goes to the core of the product - giving people the macro / big picture view about what’s going on at work.

What exactly is changing?

The biggest change you’ll notice is that the website is moving from hidoki.com -> macroapp.io (this is not yet live). Project update emails will also be sent from a new @macroapp.io email address. Finally, the site branding will be updated to reflect the new Macro brand.

Do I have to do anything?

No. Once the changes go live tomorrow afternoon, hidoki.com will redirect to the new site and everything else should work as normal. But please make sure your colleagues are aware of the name change so there’s no confusion.
