One of the biggest objections to Macro is that ‘we already have too many SaaS products’. For many companies, the cost of adopting Macro is higher than the perceived value they would gain from it. This is hampered by the fact that you cannot run projects with Macro alone, so you will always need to use multiple products. E.g.

• Macro - comms + tracking
• Trello - tasks
• GSuite - docs + spreadsheets

As well as this objection, a common question from potential users has been ‘does it support tasks?’. Adding todo/task functionality would let many users run projects entirely from Macro, without any additional tools (except perhaps docs). So not only would this feature reduce a key objection, but it would add more value to the product, turning it into a full project management tool.

The goal here is for simplicity and to have enough flexibility to cover the general case. We are not aiming to satisfy power users or build the best todo app TM. Rather, the main value will be the abillity to have project info, status, updates, and tasks all in one place.
